Why does net pensionable earnings matter?
Net pensionable earnings (NPE) are the basis for working out how much NHS pension a dentist is entitled to – higher levels of NPE will yield higher levels of annual pension in retirement.
They also form the basis for working out the contribution rate that a dentist must pay to the NHS pension scheme.
