What we do:

We support all the BDA work on pay and conditions for dentists who work in these groups:

1. Armed forces
2. Community public health dentistry
3. Hospital dental services
4. University dental teaching and research

What we do nationally:

1. Negotiate national terms and conditions
2. Evidence to the review bodies and elsewhere for pay
3. Support local negotiations and training of local representatives
4. Close liaison with other professional bodies
5. Raising the profile and safeguarding the interests of dentists
6. Work in supporting Industrial dentists and other small groups

What we do for members:

1. Employment law advice
2. Disciplinary/grievance procedures support
3. Ill health and industrial injury support

How we do it:

We support and channel our work through four BDA committees:

1. Armed Forces Committee
2. Central Committee for Community Public Health Dentistry
3. Central Committee for the Hospital Dental Service
4. Central Committee for Dental Academic Staff
