Recognition on the Good Practice Scheme is hard-earned and we want to help you and your team celebrate your success. Practices that have recently achieved recognition on the scheme, or renewed their commitment to the scheme standard, are invited to an informal drinks reception where the President of the British Dental Association will be offering  personal congratulations to dental teams. This is an informal event where seasonal refreshments are served and a photographer present to capture the moment. It is a popular event, so attendance is restricted to five people per practice and booking is essential. Launch of Good Practice Scotland

A dedicated version of the Scheme self assessment programme for Scotland will be launched at the annual British Dental Conference and Exhibition in Glasgow 4 to 6 June 2009. The programme will be similar to the current programme but will include specific guidance for dental practices operating in Scotland. Practices in Scotland with Scheme membership will receive a complimentary copy of the programme post launch.

The launch of BDA Good Practice Scotland is to be combined with a celebratory lunchtime reception. Dental teams that have achieved recognition on the Scheme are encouraged to attend, the BDA President will be in attendance to both celebrate this new development for Good Practice and to congratulate those that have already made a commitment to working to the Scheme standard.

Good Practice workshops – let’s get going!

Wednesday 27 January 2010 10.15am – 4.00pm
BDA, Wimpole Street, London.

A one-day workshop dedicated to practice managers who wish to move their practices towards Good Practice Scheme membership. It will familiarise delegates with the Good Practice Scheme, describe how to undertake the scheme self-assessment programme. The workshop contributes to five hours of verifiable CPD.

Delegates have an opportunity to:

• consider the benefits of using defined work systems to ensure consistency and quality

• learn how to engage the whole dental team in governance using the Good Practice Scheme

• consider the benefits of membership of the scheme for the general dental practice.

The workshop costs £250 for BDA members or £500 for non BDA members and includes a copy of the Good Practice Scheme. Lunch and refreshment are provided.
