BDA Good Practice, Practice of the Year 2013 winners
BDA Good Practice is UK dentistry's leading quality assurance programme. By becoming members, practices demonstrate a visible commitment to providing quality dental care to nationally recognised standards.
Practices meeting the BDA Good Practice standard should be well positioned for meeting national quality standards (for example, RQIA, CQC etc).
The requirements can be used by all providers of outpatient dental care including general dental practices both private and NHS, specialists practices, salaried primary dental care services, armed forces clinics and outpatient departments.

How BDA Good Practice works
To get started, we recommend BDA Expert which provides support material and advice with model policies and templates to assist practices working through the practice self-assessment, which is free to access for all BDA members. The practice self-assessment enables the whole team to reflect on their activity in the practice and to develop a continuous cycle of learning and development in the delivery of dental care. On completion of the self-assessment practices are ready to apply for membership.
All new applications are assessed via an on-site assessment to confirm compliance with BDA Good Practice standard, on progression to membership practices are provided with an exclusive membership plaque for display and can use the exclusive BDA Good Practice logo.
