The new appraisal system has been designed to apply only to Salaried Primary Dental Care Service dentists. Appraisals will take place annually, but should be supported by regular one-to-one meetings with managers throughout the year. This is important as you will be expected to dicuss training and budget allocation and meet pre-agreed objectives in order to progress up the new pay spine.

Job planning brings the grade competencies and appraisal objectives together into a new appraisal system. A job plan must be agreed at the start of the new appraisal year to enable all parties to have clear written documentation as to what is to be expected over the forthcoming year.
