The Conference

More popular than ever before.

The BDA are pleased to announce the success of their annual conference. The British Dental Conference and Exhibition, which took place in Manchester on 1 – 3 May 2008. The conference was more popular than ever before with well over 4,000 attendees.

The 2008 Conference included an inspirational presentation from Olympic medallist and World Champion, Roger Black who dealt with the conference’s theme – ‘Strategies for success: you and your team’.
Clinical speakers Ron Jackson and Nitzan Bichacho presented on aesthetic restorative excellence and aesthodontics – ‘the art and science of beauty integrated with high resolution quality dentistry’.

As always the British Dental Conference and Exhibition covered a wide variety of other subjects including; customer care and teamwork, infection control, management of oral cancer, issues in implant dentistry, prosthetics, acupuncture and pain control. We were also joined by Jasmine Birtles a TV presenter specialising in business and personal finance who told us how to ‘get rich without really trying’

We hope that you enjoyed this year’s conference and that you will join us again in 2009 when we will be at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow.  If you didn’t make it to the 2008 event make sure you put the 2009 date in your diary and we hope to see you there.

The Exhibition

This year’s event also included the largest exhibition to date with 180 exhibitors packing the Central Hall of the Manchester Central Convention Complex.  For the first time the exhibition benefited from feature areas to help delegates de-stress from their busy schedule; including crazy golf and massage therapy.

If you are interested in exhibiting at next year's event at the SECC in Glasgow on 4-6 June 2009, register your interest by contacting Tina Smith at t.smith@bda.org or by telephone at 020 7563 6883.
