Careers Day is a unique, one-day event organised by the British Dental Association and UCL Eastman Dental Institute. The conference is aimed at foundation dentists, young dentists, OREs and anyone considering a change of career or returning to dentistry after a career break.

Programme:

The day will comprise of a programme of lectures by a superb panel of speakers drawing on their own personal experiences to give an invaluable insight into the different career options available.
The programme will be confirmed in August 2014.

  • Financing your new practice
  • CV clinic and advice
  • How to become a consultant
  • Financial planning for recent graduates
  • Salaried dental care services
  • Careers in orthodontics
  • Working and studying abroad
  • Hands on demonstration

Exhibition:

Employers of dentists and organisations who support dentists throughout their careers will be exhibiting throughout the day. The exhibition will be held in areas adjacent to the meeting rooms where lunch and refreshments will also be provided. This is an ideal opportunity to speak face to face with potential employers and those providing career guidance and support services.

CPD:

This conference meets the educations criteria set by the GDC for verifiable CPD (5 hours CPD) and is certified by the British Dental Association.

The conference is aimed at Foundation Dentists, young dentists, students, overseas dentists studying for their Overseas Registration Exam (ORE), anyone considering a change of career or returning to dentistry after a career break.
