The Bridge2Aid programme involves teams of UK volunteer dentists and nurses training local health workers to provide simple but vital treatment. The teams are based in rural areas for the two weeks training programme. In the past five years the Bridge2Aid programme has increased access to basis dental pain relief services to over one million people in Tanzania. - The level of oral disease and its impact on developing nations.
- How to build a local oral health workforce to address the need for oral urgent treatment.
- The role of dental professionals as volunteers in helping to achieve long-term solutions.
