Terms and conditions
Eligibility
BDA Expert is only available to BDA members.
Payment
Access to BDA Expert is available on payment of a Product Fee and ongoing monthly subscription. The Product Fee can be paid by cheque, debit or credit card; the ongoing monthly subscription is payable by Direct Debit. The first monthly payment will be taken the month after despatch of the product. You will be notified of any future changes in subscription rates.
Updates
In order for you to receive BDA Expert updates, you will need access to the Internet and must be a registered user of www.bda.org. Notification of updates will be sent to your email address, as registered with the BDA. If you wish to change this address please contact the Shop team on 020 7563 4555.
Upgrades
A reduced Product Fee is available to members who have previously purchased the following products: Practice Compendium v5, Clinical Governance Kit v2 or Good Practice Scheme Self Assessment Programme v4. The BDA reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time.
Cancellation
To get the most from BDA Expert, continuous subscription is strongly recommended. Cancellation of your subscription will result in the suspension of updates, which could lead to you relying on out-of-date information. However, you may cancel your BDA Expert subscription at any time by notifying BDA Shop in writing (by letter or email). You are required to give a notice period of three months for cancellation and to pay all subscription fees owed, until the date of cancellation. The month in which BDA Shop receives notification of cancellation will represent the first month of notice, and your subscription will cease two calendar months thereafter. BDA Expert cancellations will be acknowledged within one week of receipt. If you have not received a response to the cancellation within two weeks, it is essential that you contact BDA Shop as your letter or email may not have been received. Cancellations are only effective from the date on which notification is received by BDA Shop. Upon receipt of your written instructions, and following expiry of the three month notice period, your direct debit will be cancelled by the BDA and no further payments will be taken, providing that no outstanding amounts are owed. Resignation of your BDA membership will automatically cancel your BDA Expert subscription and you will no longer receive
updates. The three month notice period still applies.
Re-activating BDA Expert subscriptions
Following cancellation of your subscription, your subscription will end on the date that we take the final direct debit payment. Following this date, if you wish to re-activate your subscription you will be required to pay the Product Fee at the prevailing rate and to set up a new Direct Debit subscription; continuous subscription is therefore strongly recommended.
Returns and refunds
If you wish to return BDA Expert, you must do so within 14 days of the dispatch note date in saleable quality. Refund payments will be made to the same card used for purchase. Refunds will take up to 10 working days. Full details of how to return will be included on the dispatch note enclosed with BDA Expert. The product must be returned in its original packaging. Before returning the item(s), please contact BDA Shop on 020 7563 4555 or email bdashop@bda.org to obtain a returns reference number.
