Need help with funding?

Elective awards for projects abroad worth £500 to £1000 are available from the British Medical and Dental Students Trust.  Applications must include:

• A well thought out research project 
• A protocol giving details of the project: 
  • Introduction (1 mark) 
  • Aim of project (1 mark) 
  • Methodology (2 marks) 
  • Analysis (2 marks)
• Recommendations from tutor or supervisor or other authorised person at applicant’s place of study (2 marks)
• Letter or email confirming the elective from the hospital to be visited (2 marks) 

• Completed application form

Application dates:

• For elective periods from April to September apply by 31st January 

• For elective periods from October to March apply by 31st July
