This short course will cover all the essential information you need to know to enable you to do this.

 
This course is designed to provide participants with a thorough grounding in all aspects of dental decontamination, and is also broad enough to act as a comprehensive refresher course for those who already have some experience in this field.

  3. Hand Hygiene
  4. Personal Protective Equipment
  5. Preparation of Environment
  6. Introduction to dental equipment
  7. Cleaning Methods
  8. Sterilisation
By the end of the course, participants will have an understanding of the principles behind decontamation, the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out common decontamination tasks, and an awareness of the regulations of all UK nations.

 

Assessment

You will be required to complete quizzes on each topic to test your knowledge. 

 
The pass mark for each quiz is 100%, but don't worry – you will have three attempts at each quiz. 

 
You will then be awarded a certificate once you have viewed each topic and passed all quizzes.
