Get-involved

We are the voice of dentists in the UK, and every new member strengthens our voice.
We fight for better working conditions for dentists and improvements to the nation’s oral health. Become a member - together we can make a difference.

If you really want to make your voice heard, meet other dentists in your local area, and earn CPD, you can also get involved with:

Young Dentists Committee

The Young Dentists Committee represents dentists who have been qualified for up to 10 years. The Committee is made up of a variety of young dentists who bring an enormous wealth of knowledge and experience to this group. The YDC champions the careers of younger dentists in terms of policy making, political lobbying, and improving the quality of working life for young dentists and their prospects for the future.

'Dentistry is a challenging career, particularly when you’re just starting out. That’s why I’m proud to be campaigning for the interests of young dentists and the nation’s oral health. This is an exciting time for the Young Dentists Committee and the BDA – there’s never been a better time to get involved.'

Nikki Patel, Young Dentist Committee Chair

Young Dentist Groups

Young Dentist Groups within the BDA Branch and Sections network are run by young dentists who want to engage with other young graduates and their peers to develop their skills, make connections and promote the dental profession.

'After university it gets harder to meet other young dentists. That’s why the BDA’s Young Dentists Groups organise local events around the country, to bring young dentists together and inspire each other. I live and work in the South West and have met lots of dentists through our local YDG'

Ahmad Nounu BDS

Branches and Sections network

We have an active network of 21 branches, many divided into sections, ensuring local representation and the ability for members to network at a local level.

BDA Branches and sections offer a varied programme of educational events on both clinical and general topics plus social events to help raise the profile of the BDA and the profession from a local perspective.
