Aim

Restoration of root filled teeth is a controversial topic. Clinicians find this especially challenging as there is confusing and sometimes contradictory opinions presented by specialists and researchers. The aim of this lecture is to highlight the relevant contemporary evidence which will impact your clinical decision-making and practice.

Dr Daniel Vaz de Souza

Daniel graduated from the University Fernando Pessoa (Portugal) in 2006. In 2007, he relocated to Norwich where he worked for nearly six years in General Practice. In 2011, while still working in Norwich, Daniel successfully completed the two-year Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons England. During the summer of 2012 Daniel moved to London where he enrolled in a further four-year specialist postgraduate Masters training in Endodontics at King’s College London and he was awarded a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics with distinction. Daniel also successfully attained the Membership in Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

This training enables him to offer a wide range of solutions to manage complex endodontic cases and a deep understanding of challenging restorative dilemmas.

Daniel is also a Clinical Instructor for the MSc in Endodontics at King’s College London and he is also a Clinical Teacher at the Endodontic Department at Guy’s Hospital London.

In addition to his clinical and teaching duties, Daniel is also a very active member in the Endodontic community, he is a sitting ordinary council member of the British Endodontic Society and he is the country representative for the European Society of the Endodontology.

Daniel is a specialist in Endodontics, has his practice limited to Endodontics and works in London, Essex and Norfolk.
