Aim

This webinar will enable delegates to enhance patient care by optimising all clinical stages of minimal intervention (MI) caries management. This webinar will consist entirely of clinical case examples used to provide a practical update on the latest equipment, materials and clinical techniques for the minimally invasive management of carious lesions.

 

Learning objectives

  • Understand caries prevention, early detection and diagnosis

  • Examine non-operative management

  • Study MI management of smooth surface carious lesions, occlusal caries, class II carious lesions and secondary caries.

 

Learning content

By the end of this webinar delegates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of MI caries management through a one-hour presentation with the chance to ask the speaker questions at the end of the webinar.

Louis Mackenzie is the Head Dental Officer at Denplan. He has been a GDP for 30 years and is a clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham School of dentistry and King's college London.  He delivers postgraduate lectures nationally and internationally on direct and indirect restorative techniques, minimally invasive dentistry and clinical photography and runs a series of popular hands-on courses. He is also a member of Dental Update's editorial board.
