BDA members celebrate Good Practice during 2017

The BDA held a festive event with 17 BDA Good Practice members on Thursday 14 December, to celebrate their successes during 2017 and to share experiences.
Opening the event, BDA Chair Mick Armstrong, welcomed the practices and highlighted the importance of teamwork, as well as the benefits of being part of a quality assurance framework.
Mick also talked about how the festive event was a wonderful opportunity for practices to come together and celebrate their collective efforts.
BDA President, Peter Dyer, congratulated the BDA Good Practice members on a great year.
Peter then proceeded to individually commend the practices in attendance for their long-standing membership and continued commitment to delivering the highest quality of patient-focused care.
After the speeches there was an opportunity for practices to have a professional team photograph taken with the President.
This year, we had some fun games for members to take part in the event, including Connect 4, giant Jenga, and pin the drill on the cavity, to highlight how team work is important in dental practices.
Practices regularly share with us how BDA Good Practice has helped to strengthen their team and helped demonstrate their commitment to exceeding nationally-recognised standards.

BDA Good Practice is a quality assurance programme that allows its members to communicate to patients an ongoing commitment to working to standards of good practice on professional and legal responsibilities.
The BDA Good Practice requirements can be used by all providers of outpatient dental care, including general dental practices (both private and NHS), specialist practices, salaried primary dental care services, armed forces clinics and outpatient departments.
