DFT educational supervisors: get your voice heard

09 February 2018

The BDA is keen to hear from all dentists who are currently supervising a foundation dentist in England.

We are calling on all dentists in England who are dental foundation training (DFT) educational supervisors to share their experience of working as a trainer.

The evidence we collect will inform our future responses to consultations and initiatives affecting dental training in general, and DFT in particular.

Our survey aims to better understand the views current educational supervisors have about their current role and responsibilities, and about how these may have changed over time.

If you have been emailed an invitation to take part, please complete our survey by Monday 26 February to ensure your views get heard.

The subject line of the email is "BDA Study of DFT Educational Supervisors 2018".

If you have not received an invitation but are keen to have a say, please contact the BDA Research Team on with your name, the email address you would like to be contacted on, as well as the name and address of your practice.

Please also check your 'junk' or 'bulk' email folders as the email may have been stored there.

As a thank you for your time, we are offering participants the chance to enter into a prize draw to win a £100 gift card, if you complete the questionnaire by Monday 26 February.

Please be assured that your information will be treated confidentially, and only the BDA research team will have access to the data.

If you have any questions or would like more information about this study, please email
