Give your views to the CQC on the way it regulates dentistry
8 February 2018
The BDA encourages members to have their say in the Care Quality Commission's annual provider survey.
This year, the survey has been sent via email to a sample representative number of dentists, to ask for their views and experiences of the regulator, and if your practice has undergone an inspection and/or registration during 2017, the survey will ask you questions about this specifically.
It covers areas such as consistency, demands on dentists' time from regulation, how well processes work and the degree to which dentists feel that the CQC supports improvement.
This is a new approach to running the survey and will comprise the previous ones of post-registration, post-inspection survey and the annual provider survey. Nearly 550 dentists took part in the last annual survey.
Taking part is voluntary, but we believe it's important that dentists' feedback their views to the CQC, as this will help them understand how they are performing and identify areas where they can improve.
The survey is open until until midnight on 19 February 2018. Please check your inbox (including your junk mail folder) to see if you've been sent a link to the survey.
