Alan Mayhew trained with John McLean
at the Dental School at Guy’s Hospital from 1942 – 1947 and later worked
in hospital dentistry. Ed Attenborough is the Managing Director of
Attenborough Dental and a past president of the BDTA.
Roland Hopwood is a retired general dental practitioner who practised from 1978-2001 in the Essex area.
Eva Milburn, hygienist
John Bayes was a general dental
practitioner with an interest in anaesthesia. He was involved in the
Association of Dental Anaesthetists and the Society for the Advancement
of Anaesthesia in Dentistry.
John Bradley was a consultant in oral
and maxillofacial surgery in Lancashire. He was also a member of council
of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, an editor of the British
Journal of Oral Surgery and eventually chairman of an NHS Trust.
Barbara Huntley worked as a dental
nurse from 1945 – 1998. In this interview she describes her route into
the profession, her working day, the qualifications she obtained and the
equipment used in the surgery.
Peter Long was a general dental practitioner practising in the county town of Hertford
Dolly Terfus was a dental technician who took over her father’s laboratory in Marylebone, London.
