I graduated from Liverpool University in 1977 and obtained MFGP in 1992 and a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Learning from Cardiff University in 2007.
I bought my practice in Ruthin in 1984 and developed it into a mostly NHS six surgery practice working with a mixture of Dentists, Therapists and Hygienists. I sold the practice three years ago and I continue to work there as a part time associate.
Over the years I have been closely involved with Vocational training (DFT), Postgraduate Education and Dental Nurse training. I have been an Examiner for the National Examination Board for Dental Nurses and an External Examiner for the Cardiff University Nurse training programme.
I have also served as Chair of the Committee for Vocational Training in Wales. I am currently employed on a part time basis by Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board as a Dental Adviser.
I have been a member of North Wales LDC for 24 years and the GDPC member for North Wales for 20 years including 7 years as the Chair of the Committee.
My other interests include travelling, cooking (and eating ).
