Catherine Dubourg

Having qualified in 1986, and having been a member of the BDA from as soon as she was able, Catherine decided to extend her local BDA attachment by becoming branch secretary after hearing that they were losing theirs at her 5 year university reunion.

Catherine has fallen into further BDA posts representing our branch both nationally on the old Representative Board, GDPC, Welsh Council and the old Executive Board, and now as vice chair of Welsh Council she attends the new UK Council and our LDC.

Branches and sections are struggling in some areas compared with her  early years and the younger generations need to step up but until that happens "Catherine will be there!"

Catherine has moved from the hospital service to general practice and now works between the community dental service, their intermediate tier for oral surgery and their local emergency dental service so Catherine's experience of the profession is far and wide.
