Dentistry today

We know dentists do exceptional things, every day. But we want to show the world what dentistry looks like in the UK today, and we are celebrating the clinicians, the teachers and the innovators that make up our profession.

As the professional association for dentists in the UK, we work to promote a positive image of dentistry. The work of many dentists goes unsung and we want to celebrate the contributions our members and dentists across the UK make, in all fields of practice.

Every year on 24 May, for 24-hours we celebrate #Dentistry24 online, an independent campaign to promote the positive impact and experiences of the dentistry profession, across the world.

This is a great opportunity to share what you are doing in practice, promote your work, share your success, and publicly thank your colleagues and teams for their contributions.

This year, we are promoting our new Instagram account– where we will be highlighting stories of dentists at work, sharing career development advice, as well as our public health campaigns on sugar, children’s oral health, oral cancer, and more – please follow us @britishdentalassociation to find out more.

How to get involved

Get connected on our social media channels, to get updates and keep informed:

Anyone can get involved: dentists, nurses, therapists, hygienists, receptionists, technicians, suppliers, students, researchers, general practice, community care, all specialties and everything in-between.

The campaign first launched in 2018 and we supported on our social media channels.

Tell us about your day...

We are seeking case studies from dentists and dental care professionals to feature on our website, which help to showcase the different roles and career paths dentists do.

If you are interested in taking part, please get in touch.
