England: Hospital dental trainees on picket linesMembers employed by
a number of trusts are joining junior doctor colleagues on picket lines. After voting in favour of action, they are withdrawing from duties for 96 hours this week until 7am on Saturday 15 April.
Dental Core Trainees and Specialty Registrars are on the same contract as junior doctors and together are asking for full pay restoration as the cost-of-living crisis, burnout and well below inflation pay rises have taken their toll.
DCTs and Registrars in Scotland will soon be sent ballot papers to indicate their preferences for similar industrial action.

Northern Ireland: Supporting hospital dentists
On 24 February, our new
NI Hospital Dental Services Forum met for the first time to bring together all hospital dentists, including dental representatives who sit on the British Medical Association NI Junior Doctors and Consultants Committees.
The group is the latest step on a long path taken to support hospital dentistry and aims to consider all key policy issues impacting the sector. As industrial action gains momentum across the UK, it is vital to ensure the representative structures in place for our hospital members work effectively.
We cannot predict the BMA NI committees' decision on industrial action. However, we must be ready to ballot for our NI hospital members. Please complete our
brief data cleansing survey, to ensure all NI hospital members employment detail are accurate and up to date.
