Submit your contract for review
BDA members can submit their associate agreement for review by email. Our advisors will then review your contract and provide a written assessment highlighting key clauses and any areas that may affect your rights, responsibilities or future working arrangements.
What you will receive
Once your contract review is complete, our advisors will send you written feedback explaining the key clauses in your agreement and highlighting any areas that may require clarification. This will:
- explain the key clauses in your contract
- highlight any areas of concern
- outline the practical implications of the terms
- identify clauses that may require clarification or negotiation.
The written review is designed to give you clear, practical guidance so you can make informed decisions before signing.
Extra and Expert members can also contact our advisors for additional advice by email or telephone if further discussion is required. If you are currently an Essential member, you can upgrade your membership to access this level of support.
Understanding your associate contract
Before sending your agreement for review, it can be helpful to familiarise yourself with the key terms commonly included in associate contracts. In addition, if something does not match with your recollection of what was agreed, we recommend discussing and negotiating these points with the practice first.
Our associate contract advice pages explain what to look for in areas such as:
- percentage splits
- notice periods
- restrictive covenants
- responsibilities for lab bills and equipment.
You can also review the BDA Associate Contract template, which highlights the clauses commonly included in dental associate agreements.
What to include with your submission
Please email:
- your associate agreement (Word or PDF format only)
- your BDA membership number
- your contact details.
We are unable to accept JPEGs or scanned images of contracts.
If there are particular clauses you are concerned about, you can highlight these in your message when submitting the form so our advisors can focus on these areas.
Providing this information will help us review your agreement as efficiently as possible.
All documents submitted are treated confidentially and reviewed only by the BDA advisory team.

We aim to complete contract reviews within five working days.
During particularly busy periods, or for particularly complex or non-standard agreements, reviews may take slightly longer.
