Step 1: Work through the BDA Good Practice self-assessment

To be approved on the scheme, each practice must have a BDA member.

Use the BDA member log in to download and work through the practice self-assessment, which will allow your team to reflect on the current systems within the practice and develop a continuous cycle of learning and development in the delivery of dental care.

Need some help?

We can offer email and telephone support to help you work through the self-assessment. Call the BDA Good Practice team on 020 7563 4598 or email [email protected] to register your interest.

Step 2: Make an application

Once your team has completed the self-assessment, please complete the application form, and return it to us together with the fees.

A BDA assessor will usually then complete an on-site assessment, which is a valuable and collaborative experience to help you develop your practice.

Fees

Application fee: £450

Annual renewal and re-application fee: £320

Please note that practices are required to renew their membership annually. Please also note that a re-application will be required at year 4, 7, 10, 13 and 16.

Step 3: Celebrate your team's achievement

On successful application, practices will receive a membership pack including a BDA Good Practice membership plaque, logo and marketing advice to help advertise your high standards to patients.

Your practice will also be listed on find-a-practice, our patient facing website.

We will keep you updated with monthly newsletters.
