British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show

18 - 19 May 2018, Birmingham NEC

We are delighted to announce that the BDA will be working with the Dentistry Show, organised by CloserStill Media, to bring you a bigger and better annual conference and exhibition.

In May 2018, at the NEC in Birmingham, the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show will welcome you through its doors.

The event will be the new centrepiece of our year and will bring the profession together for quality education and industry updates.

The final British Dental Conference and Exhibition which, for eight years ran in Manchester, was held 25-27 May 2017.

About the event

The new event will feature a thriving, vibrant exhibition with hundreds of our friends in the industry there to help you find the new and improved tools and services for your life in practice.

Alongside the vast exhibition we will host our own theatre with a programme bringing you the quality learning you’ve come to expect from us.

We’re committed to offering our members and this profession the biggest and best event in the dental calendar.

Our British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show is now the one date every dentist needs in their diary. And we’ve opened the doors to the whole profession, to give them all access to the latest innovation, education and quality CPD.

Members are our number one priority. On top of one unmissable national conference, we are working to ensure you have access to more exclusive events in more locations across the UK.

As a BDA member you will receive priority access to the BDA Theatre at the show so please arrive at your chosen sessions in time to secure your seat.

FAQs

Are you still running the event that took place in Manchester in May?

No. The new event has replaced the British Dental Conference and Exhibition which ran for 137 years with eight of those from Manchester. The final event took place on 25-27 May 2017.

Why have you joined forces?
The British Dental Conference and Exhibition always got rave reviews. We have always looked to find way to improve things for our delegates. We believe this collaboration with CloserStill Media will do just that, providing members with the big date in the dental calendar.

Is the BDA still running other events?

Yes - it's one of our strengths. Our training and seminars continue to be in high demand. Most of our events this year have sold out. Delegates tell us that they value our quality CPD, indeed that’s one of the reasons the Dentistry Show organisers are keen to work with us.

How did you make the decision to combine forces with the Dentistry Show?
Our board is directly elected by members who make these kinds of decisions in the interests of members and the association. They are dentists with a vested interest in building a stronger, more effective BDA.

How can I book my seat for the BDA Theatre?
All sessions at the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show run on a first come, first seated basis. BDA members will have priority access to the Theatre and non-members will be let in 10 minutes before each talk begins, if there are seats remaining. The seminar booking process will also be emailed to all registered delegates starting 3 April. You can use this to choose the sessions you're interested in attending but it will not guarantee a seat.

I'm an Extra/Expert member. What happens to the free ticket I used to get?

Passes to the BDA's British Dental Conference and Exhibition were complimentary to our Extra and Expert members with just over 10% using them. Our new event is free to all, but we are offering more high quality exclusive events across the UK. Extra and Expert members can now choose two seminars from a list of 24 around the country in our new Member Series
