I’m one of the principal dentists at one of the largest NHS contract holders in greater London. We also have dental contracts for the prison service across London and the South East.
What I most love about my job is that a ‘normal’ day doesn’t really exist – every day brings diversity. I wake up every morning and look forward to coming work, as I really enjoy the contact with my patients and colleagues.
I’m quite passionate about ensuring everyone should be entitled to decent access to dental care. We are lucky here in the UK to be able to offer a service that does just that.
I find it inspiring and rewarding, that we can offer a full range of dental treatment on the NHS, to people from all walks of life, whatever their financial situation.
Our ethos is to create an atmosphere where people can develop into caring and professional dentists. To me, I don’t feel that I just ‘employ’ people, I want to support and develop them. I hope that we are offering membership to a family, where our staff can grow and thrive.
Juggling so many roles can only be done with a great team around you. The biggest asset we have in our dental practice is the people working here.
To me, being a professional is to act with care and respect in all aspects of your work, towards you colleagues, towards your patients.
Using technology enables us to be more productive and efficient, meaning we can work within the constraints of the NHS and still provide a great service for our patients.
