A practical guide to reducing stress 

Session synopsis

Work-related stress is an increasing concern and is currently the second most common cause of ill health associated with work. Whilst a number of things can cause stress, this session looks at how you can prevent stress from occurring and help you change the way you deal with stressful situations.

Lecture filmed at the British Dental Conference and Exhibition 2012.

  • Differentiating between healthy pressure and negative stress and the link with personality

  • Developing your resilience to managing a pressurised workload

  • Adopting coping strategies to disassociate from the stressful situation and keep calm
