Implement safe and realistic infection control procedures.

The dental profession has experienced a period of rapid change in infection control requirements following the introduction in England of HTM 01-05 and the Code of Practice on preventing and controlling infections. Learn from industry experts on how these requirements affect your practice and how to ensure compliance. This one-day course will demonstrate both essential and best practice in managing infection control.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the origins of infection control dento-legal problems and how they can be prevented
  • Be familiar with standard practice precautions and measures of personal protection for all members of the dental team
  • Know how to maintain high standards of decontamination and comply with HTM 01-05 and CQC requirements
  • Gain tips to improve the safe management of healthcare waste in your practice.

This training course meets the educational criteria set by the GDC for 5 hours of core verifiable CPD and is certified by the British Dental Association.
