Record keeping and monitoring in NHS practice

Friday 27 November 2020 | LONDON

Covering the essential do's and don'ts in record keeping

This half-day workshop explores current best practice for record keeping. Attendees will examine NHS regulations, the GDC and CQC requirements for record keeping, and receive a step-by-step guide to what clinical records should contain. Recent legal NHS claiming precedents will be discussed and the consequences of not keeping good records will be demonstrated.

Understand how not to record the consent process, and the importance of making the dental team aware of how NHS Area Teams (ATs) and the Business Services Authority (BSA) monitor GDP quality, performance and claiming abuse through clinical records. Implement effective processes which can be followed, with confidence, by the whole dental team.

Learning objectives
