Chris Kurt-Gabel,
Managing Director, A to E Training & Solutions
Chris qualified in 1995 as a Registered General Nurse at the Whittington Hospital in London then working in orthopaedics and emergency departments in several London hospitals. In 1998 he obtained his Accident & Emergency Nursing course (ENB3) and then qualified as a Children's Nurse from City University in 2000. In 2007 he received his Masters in Public Administration from London Southbank University and will be starting a legal conversion course in 2014 again at London Southbank University. He is an instructor in the following Resuscitation Council provider courses: Advanced Life Support, Advanced Paediatric Life Support, European Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Generic Instructor Course.
Substantial experience in accident and emergency nursing then became a Resuscitation Officer at UCLH in central London. Developed and managed the Resuscitation Service at UCLH for 4 years developing risk assessment tools, training programmes, infrastructure and policy. Along with colleagues he was an inaugural officer of the Association of London Resuscitation Officers group and has been involved in the development of resuscitation strategy and practice for over 15 years. He has in the past been a General Manager and Head of Clinical Services for a private hospital.
Currently he is working on developing innovative resuscitation equipment solutions and primary research developing the professional knowledge base around aspects of management of emergency situations.
