Aim

To provide dental professionals with the fundamentals of digital implant planning and its diagnostic and surgical uses.

Learning objectives
  • Learn the various uses of modern digital technology in implantology
  • Learn the specific steps in guided surgery
  • Learn about the hardware and software requirements to get started in digital planning and guided surgery.
Learning content

Digital dentistry is a rapidly advancing field with many exciting opportunities for improved workflows and patient care. This talk aims to give clinicians an introductory knowledge and practical methods of digital implant dentistry, including cost-effective approaches of inhouse planning, guided surgery and 3D printing.

Bizhan Shokouhi

Bizhan is a specialist in oral surgery and works in private practice in the south east and also part-time at Guy's Hospital. His main area of interest is dental implants and hard/soft tissue regeneration, with an emphasis on using the latest technologies for improved patient management. In the hospital he is a co-investigator for a clinical trial research studying a new sedative drug in dentistry.

He enjoys teaching and mentoring but also learning and keeping up his own knowledge of the latest trends in the field.

  • We encourage you to take a lateral flow test the evening before you are due to arrive - should your test result be positive, we ask you not to attend
