This course aims to explore the role the dental team play in health beyond the mouth.
The speaker will: Present evidence based facts that can be interpreted for clinical practice. Identify the most reliable sources of evidence. Relate the evidence base to the practical applications and oral health gains.
- Appraise the systemic health risks now known
- Evalute the role dental professionals have when considering systemic health
- Select the best evidence and communicate the implications of this with patients.
