To provide an update on the most common medical conditions encountered in every day practice, look at the newest drug therapies and learn how medications can impact dental treatment.
- Inform the dental team on how to complete a thorough medical risk assessment
- Update practitioners on the impact of medications including- anticoagulants and anti platelet therapies, corticosteroids, and medications related to oesteonecrosis of the jaw.
- Provide the most current evidence and guidelines on how to manage patients taking 'poly pharmacy'

Laura is a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry and works in Northfield as the Senior Dental Officer. She qualified from the University of Sheffield and has worked in a range of services including general practice, maxillofacial surgery and community. Her main clinical interests are in managing those who are medically compromised and people with learning disabilities. In addition, she provides sedation and treatment under general anaesthesia.
