  • To understand the benefits and risks of periodontal surgery
  • To improve decision making regarding when to extract and when to save teeth with severe periodontal bone loss.

Joel Thomas

Joel is a newly qualified Periodontal Specialist working in the South West Region. He currently offers his services at practices in Cheltenham, Bristol, Cotswolds and Worcester.

Having graduated from Bristol University he quickly underwent surgical training through maxillofacial jobs. Joel then moved to London to complete his four year specialist training at Guys Hospital whilst working as a periodontist in multiple private practices in the region.

Joel has recently moved back to his home town of Cheltenham where he and his young family have settled.

Joel is a keen sportsman. He is an ex international waterpolo player and still plays today.
