The lecture is supported by both Health Education England and BDA North Essex Section.
The lecture will explain care pathways and the importance of prevention in the NHS Prototypes, descirbe how skill levels and patient factors influence the delivery of care and review the renumeration system underpinning the prototypes.
- Explain the new NHS Prototype and their impact on general dental practice.
- Evaluate the risks and opportunities it presents for practices, their teams and patients.
- Assess how it will affect associate payment models, care pathways and referral pathways.

Len runs an NHS practice that is currently in the NHS prototypes. He works as a dento-legal advisor for Dental Protection Ltd and is a lecturer in the MA in Dental law and ethics at the University of
Bedfordshire. Len has lectured on these subjects and has published a book on the subject Legal aspects of dental practice
published by Elsevier.
