​​Aims ​The presentation aims to shed light on what factors clinicians need to consider when assessing teeth requiring endodontic treatment.
Learning objectives
  • To have an appreciation of periodontal, restorative, endodontic and occlusal factors in case planning
  • To provide delegates with an evidence based approach to decision making when dealing with complex endodontic cases
  • An overview of the clinical parameters which will ultimately lead to successful case execution.
Learning contentThrough a discussion of the evidence base coupled with clinical cases the lecture will aim to give delegates an appreciation of endodontic prognostic factors.

Imran Azam

Imran completed his specialist training at the Eastman Dental Hospital UCL where he obtained a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontology with distinction and won the Dentsply Maillefer Endodontic Prize for the highest clinical and academic achievement.

Prior to specialist training Imran attended the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, The Dawson Centre and The University of Southern California. His rich clinical experience prior to specialisation enables him to understand the challenges faced by general practitioners.

Imran runs a busy Specialist Endodontic Referral Practice based in Windlesham and is also committed to postgraduate education. He is a part-time Clinical Teaching Fellow and an Examiner at the Eastman Dental Institute and is also involved in training new dental graduates.
