To increase awareness of dental Autotransplantation as a biological option to restore the traumatised dentition.

Nadine Houghton

Nadine commenced her Consultant Orthodontic post at BTHFT in 2007, having completed STR training in Leeds/Seacroft and FTTA training in Birmingham/ Burton-upon-Trent. She is a full time NHS orthodontic consultant working at St Luke's Hospital (Bradford), Leeds Dental Institute and Airedale General Hospital.

She is heavily involved in teaching on the regional orthodontic post graduate programme and was appointed Orthodontic Training Programme Director for HEEYH (North) in 2016. Her specialist interests include autologous transplantation, dento-facial deformity and complex restorative-orthodontic cases. Nadine is the orthodontic clinical lead of the multidisciplinary restorative-orthodontic joint clinics at St Luke's Hospital and the autologous transplantation team at LDI.

She was a keynote speaker at the 1st and 2nd Congress of Dental Transplantation in Sopot (2016) and Rotterdam (2018). She is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MOrth and Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy and was appointed Chair of the Orthodontic Therapy Diploma Board for the RCS(Eng) in 2017.
