This half day course is for those seeking to become or performing the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO) in a general dental practice. The course will give the attendee an overview of the role and responsibilities as well as the tools to become an effective DPO and comply with GDPR.

  • Decipher the relevance of the GDPR in a dental practice
  • Understand the role of a Data Protection Officer (DPO)
  • Be able to perform preparatory work for GDPR compliance

She advises on a range of business and NHS matter, particularly focusing on NHS contracts and disputes and has recently returned from a secondment where she undertook work on behalf of clients buying and selling dental practices.

Samantha qualified as a lawyer in Australia in 2015, she has worked in digital evidence, energy and resources and recently moved to London for experience in a large international city. Since joining the BDA Samantha works as a Contracts and Operations Advisor in the BDA's advisory team.
