Anurag Srinivas
Anurag graduated from Cardiff University with BDS in 2016. He then spent 2 years completing the Longitudinal DF/DCT1 Scheme in South Wales, gaining experience in Primary Care, Oral Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This was followed by DCT2 and DCT3 posts in Restorative Dentistry in both Birmingham and Manchester dental hospitals. Currently enrolled in a Leadership Fellowship with HEE, he still gains part-time experience in Restorative Dentistry in the Midlands. Anurag has been representing trainees in the UK for 3 years now on the executive of the BDA Central Committee for Hospital Dental Services (CCHDS). He is passionate about providing support and representation to this cohort of dentists, looking to pave the way for improvements in training and education.

Naeem Adam
Naeem completed his BDS at Newcastle University and graduated in 2016 with honours and distinctions in academic and clinical dentistry as well as the Pitt-Ford Prize in Endodontology. He undertook combined Dental Core Training 1/Dental Foundation Training at Newcastle Dental Hospital and general dental practice, followed by Dental Core Training 2 in OMFS at Leeds General Infirmary. He commenced specialty training in orthodontics in 2019 after placing 2nd in National Recruitment.

Kasim Butt
Kasim is currently completing specialist training in Restorative Dentistry. He is the 1st and 2nd Year StR Representative for the Specialty Registrars in Restorative Dentistry Group (SRRDG). His main clinical practice involves working with Consultant colleagues in managing challenging cases requiring root canal treatment, crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. Kasim qualified from the University of Bristol with Distinction. Upon graduation he was awarded the British Dental Association Medal for the Best Dental Student in the Clinical and Practical aspects of dental practice. Since qualification, he has pursued a career in specialist care and has gained varied experience working in three dental teaching hospitals across the country.
 Malcolm Smith
Malcolm Smith is Postgraduate Dental Dean in Health Education England North East and Chair of HEE’s national Advancing Dental Care (ADC) programme. He is COPDEND Lead for Dental Public Health and, until recently, for Dental Foundation Training. He was responsible for the introduction Satisfactory Completion of DFT, the one-year Review of Competence Progression (RCP) model and the national model for Performers List Validation by Experience (PLVE), together with the development of the DFT e-portfolio. Malcolm spent nearly thirty years as a General Dental Practitioner, mainly in the NHS, before moving fully into dental education.
