MI technological applications in modern caries prevention and treatment
Thursday 29 June 2023
19:30 – 20:30
This webinar will provide an overview of the scientific and clinical evidence base for the use of detection, prevention and treatment technologies in the modern management of caries. Clinical case examples will help demonstrate some of the latest evidence-based minimum intervention (MI) and minimally invasive strategies.
- Definitions of practice-based minimum intervention oral care delivery and its four interlinked domains
- Learn about technology applied to caries detection and diagnosis
- Recognise technology applied to caries prevention and control
- Understand how technology can be applied to minimally invasive operative management of cavitated lesions.
By the end of this lecture delegates will be able to enhance patient care delivery by understanding the advantages and disadvantages of MI technologies, so optimising their application in caries detection, prevention and operative treatment, using minimum intervention oral care (MIOC) principles.
