Learning objectives

'Is your service/practice safe? Is it caring? Is it responsive? Is it effective? Is it well led?' (CQC key line of enquiries)  At times it can seem quite impossible to comply with all your obligations.

  • Be familiar with the key issues surrounding CQC registration and inspections
  • Gain a better understanding of health and safety issues in dentistry
  • Know how to comply with current infection control and decontamination guidelines
  • Be aware of the GDC's standards and its complaints and fitness to practice procedures
  • Understand the requirements surrounding consent and confidentiality
