What to expect

This lecture will provide delegates with an understanding of the diagnosis and management of periodontal diseases in primary care, in line with current guidelines. Shauna will provide example cases and scenarios to demonstrate options for managing patients with periodontal disease.

  • Discuss example cases and scenarios to demonstrate options for managing patients with periodontal disease

Meet the speaker

Shauna Culshaw Shauna Culshaw Professor of Periodontology and Immunology

Shauna is Professor of Periodontology and Immunology at the University of Glasgow, where she is Clinical Dental Research Facility Lead and Lead for Undergraduate teaching in Periodontics. Shauna completed specialist training in Periodontics and treats patients referred to Glasgow Dental Hospital with advanced periodontal diseases and provides specialist training to staff. Shauna and her research team investigate the immune response in the oral cavity and the relationship between periodontitis and systemic inflammatory diseases.
