IN-PERSON EVENT, hosted by Bromley and Beckenham Section

What to expect

This event will give an overview of factors affecting decision making for tooth preservation vs dental implants, including endodontic, prosthodontic, periodontal, surgical and restorative aspects. Specific examples of cases requiring multidisciplinary management for various treatment modalities will be explored.

Meet the speaker

Robert Crawford Robert Crawford Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Honorary Clinical Lecturer

Rob is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Institute, London, where under his Clinical Leadership of the Endodontic Department 2010-2020 the service was successfully further developed and expanded. He is a UK registered Specialist in the fields of Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

He completed specialist training in restorative disciplines at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Institute, attaining a Distinction in the MSc in Conservative Dentistry degree from the Eastman Dental Institute in addition.

Rob was elected to the Board of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England, in 2020 and serves on the Examinations, Fellowship and Awards Committees. He is also an experienced examiner for the Membership in Restorative Dentistry and Membership in Endodontics Specialty Examinations for the College.

Rob is passionate about clinical development in particular and is an Educational Supervisor for Specialty Registrars in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman, assisting in the training of consultants of the future, as well as an active Clinical Supervisor for postgraduate trainees across disciplines.

He enjoys providing wide ranging restorative treatment modalities both at the Eastman Dental Hospital and in private specialist practice settings.

Camden Place is a grade II* listed building which, since 1894, has been the magnificent home of Chislehurst Golf Club. Camden Place is something of a hidden jewel with its spectacular architecture and detailing, representative of its fine Georgian heritage, and set in 70 acres of beautiful grounds.

Venue guidance - on arrival, access is via the main and only entrance, there is a door code which will be confirmed to you by email before the event. Enter the main reception area and take the immediate left towards this meeting's reception area, and this leads into the main bar.

There is a large, free car park at the golf club in front of the entrance to the building.
