Whitening and resin infiltration training (25 June)

What to expect

Join Linda Greenwall online for a live demonstration and follow along at home with materials provided. 

White spot markings on teeth are very common and there has been an increase in incidences of between 25% and 40% of teeth erupting with these white markings on. Many of the markings are alarming to young patients and dentists need to learn the strategies to deal with these white markings on teeth.

This exciting and unique hands-on training session will offer each participant the opportunity to receive online hands-on training in resin infiltration and removal of white spots in the comfort of their own home, while being trained and taught in a small group by Linda Greenwall.

Each delegate will be sent a specially prepared hamper with a dental model, an icon resin kit and everything that you need to use during the hands-on section of the course. Each delegate will need to provide their own curing light and their own PPE. Delegates will be sent a tray set-up to prepare beforehand for the course.

During the evening there'll be a competition to win a copy of Dr Greenwall’s Book "Success Strategies for the Aesthetic Dental Practice" worth £125.

Aim and learning content

This event will provide the participant with the tools needed to successfully remove white spots from teeth using icon resin infiltration. The aim will be met through a live demonstration by the speaker and the opportunity for participants to follow the same processes with the speaker on hand to answer questions.

Learning objectives

• Discuss the aetiology of white spots and recognise the difference between MIH and Fluorosis in terms in the white spot lesions, structure and treatment
• Understand the treatment options for white spots, microbrasion and icon resin infiltration and composite bonding
• Understand how to classify whitening and white spot removal cases as basic, intermediate and advance
• Explore when to treat, the timings involved and the side effects
• Understand the management of resin infiltration techniques including costings to patients.

Meet the speaker

Dr Greenwall is an international lecturer and an authority on tooth whitening, aesthetic dentistry and practice management. She runs a multidisciplinary private practice in Hampstead, London, where she works with a specialist team in the practice (endodontist, periodontist, implant surgeon, oral surgeon and orthodontist).

She is also a past Chair for the Alpha Omega Society (2012-13), Editor-in-Chief of the journal Aesthetic dentistry today, and is past President of the Metropolitan London Branch of the British Dental Association (2015-2016). In March 2016 she was awarded the FMC Award for Outstanding Contribution to Dentistry.

Her first book, Bleaching techniques in restorative dentistry, won the award for best new dental book in 2001. The new edition of this book, Tooth whitening techniques, was published in May 2017. Her book "Success Strategies for the Aesthetic Dental Practice" was published by Quintessence in 2011.

In June 2017, Dr Greenwall was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list and received the British Empire Medal for her services to dentistry in the UK and abroad.
