What to expect

This evening event will explore tips and techniques to help you improve your skills and knowledge of anterior composites. Sid Gupta is an experienced speaker with a keen interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and there will be ample opportunity for Q&A with him after the lecture.

  • Understand basic appreciation of smile design as well as anterior tooth morphology
  • Appreciate the role effective rubber dam isolation and the pros and cons to different techniques

Sid, a graduate of Cardiff University in 2014, has a background encompassing both primary and secondary care within the realm of dentistry in South Wales. Throughout his professional journey, Sid's experiences have fostered a profound interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, culminating in the completion of a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Dentistry at King’s College London with a distinction.

An active contributor to the dental community, Sid serves as a committee member of the esteemed British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Additionally, he is a valued member of the South West Wales local dental committee, to help support professional discourse and collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing dental care standards.

Sid's fervor for continuous learning is evident through his extensive postgraduate pursuits. Noteworthy achievements include obtaining the Royal College of Surgeons (MJDF) examination, attaining a postgraduate certificate in medical education, and completing renowned courses within the Dawson curriculum and Chris Orr’s one-year programme.

Beyond his clinical endeavours, Sid's passion for photography permeates into his professional ethos, infusing his work with meticulous attention to detail and an innate desire to emulate the beauty of nature.

If you feel at all unwell, we encourage you to take a lateral flow test the evening before you are due to arrive - should your test result be positive, we ask you not to attend.

If your test is negative, but you do have symptoms of COVID-19 (a new, persistent cough; a high temperature; or loss/changes to your sense of taste or smell) we kindly request you consider not attending the event to mitigate any risk to other attendees.

A buffet will be provided from 19:00-19:30.
