What to expect

A practical and interactive advanced level 2 training course delivered in-person providing a multidisciplinary scope.

Aims

Equipping dentists with the expertise and skills required to justify and interpret CBCT examinations and develop competence with writing CBCT reports.  

Learning objectives 

  • Build on the principles described in Level 1 CBCT training
  • Describe the justification of CBCT imaging 
  • Recognise normal imaging anatomy of dental and supporting structures 
  • Develop confidence in manipulation of a CBCT data set 
  • Interpret a CBCT examination and learn to use radiological terminology to describe abnormalities 
  • Learn how to write CBCT reports of the dentoalveolar region 
  • Identify when to refer cases for a second opinion

Who should attend?

This course is only suitable for dentists.

Course requirements 

  • Delegates are required to bring a laptop (with Microsoft Windows) to the day with a USB port
  • Delegates must have completed the BDA CBCT level 1 online course prior to attending this level 2 course.
