What to expect

Drug use in the treatment has of periodontal disease has been a topic which has long created considerable confusion amongst clinicians. Should they be used? If so, which ones are most effective? What and when should they be given? 

This webinar, delivered by Simon Stern, will demystify the current role that medications have to play in helping patients who are suffering periodontal disease, as well as enlighten you on the advances being made to help with patient management in future.

Meet the speaker

Simon Stern Specialist in Periodontics and Founder of The Perio Centre

Simon graduated from Queen Mary University in 2008 and then undertook hospital training posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as Restorative Dentistry. After working in general dentistry, he decided to follow his passion and specialise in Periodontics. 

He underwent extensive Specialist training at King’s College London. Ranked as one of the world’s best institutions for Periodontology, this included the latest techniques for diagnosing, preventing and treating periodontal disease, as well as cosmetic periodontal procedures.

Simon graduated with a Distinction in 2017 and also has extensive experience in the placement and repair of dental implants.

He gained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh with Distinction and has been specialising in Periodontics and Dental Implants ever since. He founded The Perio Centre on Harley Street in 2019 and has been treating patients referred by dentists across the country, as well as many from abroad, ever since.

Simon continues to lecture at both national and international conferences and has published papers in several well-respected journals. He has also been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards in his field.
