IN-PERSON EVENT, hosted by Gloucestershire Section

What to expect

This session will provide an overview of TMJD, how to examine and diagnose and how to manage it. It will include different types of occlusal appliances and what each can and cannot do for the patient and it will cover when to refer and how to manage patients post-appliance therapy.

Meet the speaker

Charlotte Bishop Dentist, Redland Road Dental Practice

Charlotte was born in Bristol and trained at the University of Birmingham. After completing her training, she soon returned to Bristol in 2001 to join the family practice, where she began her apprenticeship in TMJD and occlusal therapy with her father Peter Bishop. This work is now her primary focus at Redland Road Dental Practice in Bristol.  
 
The majority of her referrals are TMJD as well as orthopaedic (early intervention) orthodontics, to assist in arch and jaw development using Orthopaedic Orthodontic techniques.
