  • Discuss the trends in incidence and mortality of head and neck cancer, as set out in the first Atlas of Variation in Head and Neck Cancer
  • Consider the risk factors and variation in healthcare associated with head and neck cancer
  • Understand the main elements of a dental examination in identifying suspected cancers, the referral pathways and how to support patients, including safety netting advice.
