Introducing your new Lincolnshire Section

We are delighted to announce that the Lincoln and District Section have joined forces with the Kesteven and Holland Section to form the Lincolnshire Section. The newly formed Section very much look forward to welcoming you to this season's events.

What to expect

This lecture will explore the evolving landscape of the dental workforce in England, addressing current challenges, future opportunities, and strategic priorities for sustainability and growth. Jason Wong will share insights from his national leadership role, including workforce planning, skill mix, contract reform, and the integration of dental services within the wider health system.

Meet the speaker

Jason Wong MBE Chief Dental Officer, England

Jason Wong MBE was appointed as Chief Dental Officer, England in May 2024 and before that as interim Chief Dental Officer in July 2023. Jason joined the Office of the Chief Dental Officer as Deputy Chief Dental Officer in July 2020.

Awarded an MBE for services to dentistry and oral health in the new year’s honours list 2020, Jason has previously chaired local dental networks across parts of the Midlands and the East of England and was also secretary of Lincolnshire Local Dental committee for 16 years. His role as Chief Dental Officer now sees him working in collaboration with local and regional teams to deliver improved outcomes for patients, while also championing the role of dentists and dentistry within the health system.

The Office of the Chief Dental Officer England represents the head of the dental profession in England, providing system wide professional and clinical leadership, by setting the strategic vision for England’s oral health.

Jason is currently a practicing general dental practitioner and partner at the Maltings Dental Practice in Grantham, clinical ambassador for the mouth cancer foundation and is a well known speaker nationally on clinical and non clinical topics.
